This study investigated the factors and differences that influence the fertility
intention of urban and rural teachers. Using the fertility willingness questionnaire
to investigate 600 urban and rural teachers of childbearing age, the results showed:
(1) The closer the actual age of urban childbearing teachers to the best reproductive
age, the stronger the reproductive desire; (2) Marriage plays a moderating role in the
influence of urban and rural teachers’ reproductive age restriction on reproductive
desire; (3) There is no moderating effect in the influence of the working years of urban
reproductive age teachers in the reproductive age restriction on reproductive desire; (4)
The working years of township teachers have a significant margin of adjustment in the
influence of the restriction of childbearing age on the fertility desire.
