This study collected a total of 25244 data on the mental health status of
college students in five years. The study studied horizontal and vertical comparative
research on the development trend of mental health of contemporary college students.
In this study, the SymptomChecklist90 (SCL-90), Self-Rating Depression Scale
(SDS) and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) were used to conduct a horizontal study
of college students from 2015 to 2018 and 2016 to 2018. Longitudinal research was
carried out, and the results showed that the mental health status of college students
is not optimistic. The total number of students with a grade average of more than 2
points in the 2015—2019 college students SCL-90 is 2985, accounting for 11.8% of
the total number; Factors affecting college students’ mental health include: Family
Structure, Family Interpersonal Relationship, Family Economic Situation, Professional
satisfaction and Have you ever been Guarded experience. A longitudinal study from
2016 to 2018 found that the level of psychological anxiety of college students decreased
significantly, and the level of psychological depression decreased. Conclusion: The
number of college students’ mental health problems is constantly rising, and the level of mental health is not optimistic, but solid college students’ mental health education
plays an important role in improving the level of college students’ mental health.
