Thailand's Chinese education policy has always served and obeyed Thailand's state construction. Looking at the history of the evolution of Chinese education policy in Thailand, political orientation, political position, national identity, social and economic development needs, and cultural exchange needs are the main factors affecting the changes in Thailand's Chinese education policy. However, there are differences in the specific roles and performances of these factors at different stages. The period of “doing nothing to rule” was dominated by political and economic factors, the period of “restriction and suppression” was dominated by factors such as national identity, political orientation and political position, and the period of “opening and vigorous advocacy” was dominated by economic factors. At every stage of the development of Chinese education in Thailand, the Chinese education policy in Thailand plays the role of “wind vane” and “baton”, which has a profound impact on the development of Chinese education.
