Numerous studies on L2 acquisition of English tense have been conducted home and abroad over the past 30 years, however, since corpusbased study on the acquisition of tense of Chinese college English students is still lacking, the hypotheses drawn upon previous studies haven’t been testified with large quantities of written texts of Chinese college English students. The present paper seeks to testify the hypotheses on the basis of Chinese Learner English Corpus (CLEC), and then sketch out the implication of the study for College English Education.
