This paper adopts the framework for analyzing the cultural presentation of textbooks proposed by Jiajun Li (2023) and Hong Zhang and Xiaonan Li (2022a), and conducts a detailed statistical and analytical analysis of the cultural contents and their presentation paths in the two sets of Japanese textbooks. It is found that the two sets of textbooks are consistent as well as presenting diversity and uniqueness, both in terms of the choice of cultural themes, the distribution of cultural countries, the configuration of cultural types and the presentation path of cultural content.
