Critical discourse analysis (CDA) focuses on political issues and explores the ideology in discourse. Interpretation, the process of discourse production, is inevitably influenced by the contexts and ideology of translators. Therefore, critical discourse analysis of interpretation practice is helpful to understand the meaning of discourse This study takes the conference interpretation of World Economic Forum as an example, analyzes translation practice in combination with quantitative data, and explains the influence of the translator’s ideology on translation behavior and translation effect from the perspective of critical discourse analysis, with the aim of providing reference for critical discourse analysis of interpretation.
