从社会语言学视角分析委婉语特点和功能

  • Abstract: 语言是人类社会交往的重要手段。在人类交往过程中往往由于不同教育背景、文化背景、家庭背景造成言语摩擦,这时我们必须学会运用委婉语类似的言语摩擦事件、误解与尴尬的发生。从社会语言学角度看委婉语不仅是语言现象的体现,更彰显语言文化和社会现象的双重合力。作为一种言语表达方式,委婉语呈现出六个特征,发挥着三大社会功能,为语言学、社会语言学、心理学等多学科研究人员提供有益的研究视角。
  • Language is an important means of human social interaction. In the course of human communication, there are often friction in communication due to different educational background, cultural background and family background. At this time, we must learn to use Euphemism to avoid friction, misunderstanding and embarrassment in communication. From the sociolinguistic point of view, euphemism is not only the embodiment of linguistic phenomena, but also the embodiment of cultural phenomena, which vary with different cultural backgrounds. As a communicative strategy, euphemism has become an important means of communication. For sociolinguistics, psychology and other disciplines of researchers to provide topics, pragmatism and so on. Language is an important means of human social communication. In the process of human communication, speech frictions often resulted from different educational, cultural and family backgrounds. At this time, we must learn to use euphemisms to express similar speech frictions, misunderstanding and embarrassment. From the perspective of sociolinguistics, euphemism is not only the embodiment of language phenomenon, but also the combination of language culture and social phenomenon. As a way of speech expression, euphemism shows six characteristics and performs three social functions, providing a useful research perspective for researchers in linguistics, sociolinguistics, psychology and other disciplines.
