This paper introduces the contrastive thinking between English and Chinese and the contrastive language between English and Chinese.
Emphatically from the “subject consciousness” and “Hypotactic vs Paratactic” two aspects to carry on the analysis, pointed out that translation is a cross-cultural communication process. The process of translation involves different languages, different customs and culture, as well as the mutual transformation
between two different thinking. Combined with the current status of the development of contrastive linguistics, the research in the third level should
be strengthened, making up the insufficient for that. There are many unique characteristics in English and Chinese. To strengthen the contrastive study of
English and Chinese characters and their language representation is beneficial to our understanding of Chinese and English.
