Business, economics and management books occupy an important
position in China’s publishing market. However, translation problems can often
be found in the Chinese-translated books among them. This paper identifies
many typical problems and explores why these occur. Then, based on the theory
of translation ethics, the author proposes some ethical principles that should be
followed when translating business, economics and management books from
English into Chinese. Finally, the author recommends that translators follow the
principle of adopting an open, two-dimensional translation strategy to improve
the quality of their translation, in order to enhance the spiritual and economic
value of their translated books.
