Prose is a kind of important literary and artistic genre, which especially
features flexible forms, beautiful languages, deep artistic conceptions and sincere
emotion in terms of its unique creation and aesthetics. This paper, based on the theory
of translation aesthetics, takes the prose Altogether Autumn as the aesthetic object and
meanwhile selects its two English translation versions from Lu Gusun and Zhou
Renhua respectively as the aesthetic subject. A comparative analysis is also made
between them from five aspects: sound, diction, sentence, imagery and emotion, with a
view to exploring the aesthetic value in prose translation and improving aesthetic
awareness
