Literary works have unique aesthetic value. When readers read literary
works, they can not only acquire knowledge, but also enjoy aesthetic pleasure. This
particularity of literary works requires translators not only to find the beauty of the
source text, but also to consider the aesthetic consciousness of the target readers. There
are some aesthetic differences between English and Chinese. With examples, this
paper analyzes the aesthetic differences between English and Chinese and the aesthetic
considerations of different translations from the perspectives of the monodimension
beauty of Chinese and the multidimension beauty of English, the redundancy of
Chinese and the refinement of English, the precision of Chinese and the precision of
English.
