Under the perspective of curriculum-based ideological and political education, Chengdu Shuanglin Primary School has embarked on explorations to integrate the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China into the moral and legal education curriculum for primary schools. The study takes classroom teaching as the main battlefield, by exploring the convergence points between the teaching materials and the spirit of the 20th National Congress, combining red educational resources and party history education, and has constructed four major integrated sections: (1) “China Dream and Personal Dreams”, which combines national goals with personal growth through ideal and belief education; (2) “Learning the History of the Party’s Development, Listening to the Stories of Heroes and Models”, giving students a sense of mission through historical and personal stories; (3) “Firming Cultural Confidence”, relying on traditional culture and family education to enhance students’ identification with national culture; (4) “Adhering to the Harmonious Coexistence of Humans and Nature”, integrating the concept of ecological protection into the curriculum, advocating for a green lifestyle. The study innovatively designed a student-centered classroom teaching model with “experiential learning” at its core, forming seven types of teaching classes, guiding students to deepen their cognition and internalize values through the creation of situations and practical activities. Practice has shown that this model effectively realizes the concrete implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress in primary school ideological and political education, providing a reference path for the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and helping to cultivate young people with ideals and a sense of responsibility in the new era.
