Martial arts teaching for preschool children, as an important approach to physical education and traditional culture inheritance, has attracted widespread attention regarding its current status and effectiveness in teaching design. This study, guided by the theory of holistic human development, aims to deeply analyze the current situation and problems of martial arts teaching for preschool children, and proposes corresponding countermeasures. The research employs literature analysis, questionnaire surveys, and expert interviews to comprehensively collect data, and uses statistical analysis to ensure the scientific and objective nature of the research findings. The study found that current martial arts teaching for preschool children faces issues such as singular teaching objectives, rigid teaching content, monotonous teaching methods, and simplistic teaching evaluations. In response to these issues, the study proposes the following strategies: setting development-appropriate teaching objectives, developing game-based teaching content, systematically designing the teaching process, creating perceptual and interactive teaching environments, establishing multidimensional teaching evaluation systems, and strengthening teacher training. The research results indicate that implementing these strategies can effectively improve the quality and effectiveness of martial arts teaching for preschool children, promoting their comprehensive development. The conclusions of this study provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for the reform and development of martial arts teaching for preschool children.
