The job market for the legal profession is characterized by scale, specialization, technology and internationalization. The market demand for legal services is diversified, and new positions such as data compliance officers and ESG legal experts have emerged; meanwhile, the shortage of high-end talents and the saturation of basic positions coexist, and there is a large shortage of legal technology positions and a surge in the demand for foreign-related legal affairs. The government’s demand for legal talents also shows a trend of specialization, internationalization and high education. However, the current moot court program has problems such as the content not adapting to the needs of the emerging legal field and the lack of innovation and practicability in teaching methods. Therefore, it is necessary to make adaptive adjustments to the moot court course. In terms of course content, emerging cases such as data privacy protection and platform economy antitrust should be included to enhance the practicality of operation; in terms of teaching methods, innovative means such as flipped classroom, online moot court, and VR/AR technology should be adopted; and in terms of the evaluation mechanism, an intelligent multi-evaluation system should be constructed, which includes evaluation of self, peers, tutors, and industry experts. Through these adjustments, law professionals with innovative spirit and practical ability are cultivated to contribute to the construction and development of a society governed by the rule of law.
