This paper explores the new challenges and opportunities facing psychological statistics courses against the backdrop of rapidly developing artificial intelligence technology. The historical development of psychological statistics has been inseparable from the advancement of statistics and empirical psychological methods, while its future development requires embracing new technologies, particularly the potential of artificial intelligence in understanding human psychological and behavioral patterns. Taking Suzhou University of Science and Technology as an example, this paper illustrates the transformation of psychological statistics course objectives from traditional principle and skill training to cultivating data insight capabilities, analyzing its profound changes in teaching. This paper aims to provide insights for the development of psychological statistics in the new era and promote psychological talent cultivation to new heights.
