Current Status and Optimization Paths of the Education of Consolidating a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation in Universities —Based on the Survey of Eight Universities in Fujian
Based on a survey of eight universities in Fujian, this study analyzes the current state of the education of consolidating a strong sense of community for the Chinese Nation in Fujian’s universities. The research finds that Fujian universities primarily employ ideological and political courses, curriculum-based ideological and political education, campus culture, and social practice activities to foster the consciousness of the Chinese national community. The majority of students have a certain understanding of the consciousness of the Chinese national community and are willing to engage in learning and discussions, preferring to improve through lively and interesting activities, ideological and political courses, and independent reading. However, there are some issues in this implementation, such as insufficient utilization of ideological and political courses as the main channel for education, inadequate integration of “Three-Full Education,” and insufficient supportive policies from relevant units. Strengthening policy guidance from relevant units, innovating university education concepts, and improving the mechanism of school-society collaborative education are effective ways to promote the education of consolidating a strong sense of community for the Chinese Nation in Fujian’s higher education institutions.
