Secondary vocational education in Liangshan ethnic areas is flourishing, and vocational skills competitions play an important role in cultivating vocational education talents. It is not only a key platform for improving students’ vocational skills, but also a powerful driving force for promoting the comprehensive development of vocational education. This study comprehensively elaborates on the significance of the skills competition in secondary vocational schools in Liangshan ethnic areas, and deeply analyzes the problems existing in the competition from multiple dimensions such as organization, participation, and effectiveness. It carefully proposes the optimization path of the school skills competition, aiming to provide constructive and feasible reference for improving the quality of vocational education, creating a better learning and development environment for students, and cultivating more high-quality skilled talents for the economic and social development of the region.
