Specific Implementation of “Double New” in High School English Classrooms —Reasonable Design of Unit Teaching and Respect for Individual Student Development
The “Double New” approach has begun to be widely applied in high school English teaching, shifting the focus of the classroom from teacher-centered to student-centered. This article discusses strategies for implementing the “Double New” approach in English classrooms. Through specific classroom examples, it is found that teachers need to reasonably design unit teaching content, analyze students’ learning situations, guide students to delve into textual analysis, respect individual student development, and emphasize the teaching process. These strategies aim to enhance students’ English learning abilities and thinking qualities, effectively fostering the development of core competencies.
