With the continuous popularization of the global concept of sustainable development and the intensification of environmental issues, the issue of sustainable development for college students is increasingly attracting attention. This article aims to explore the sustainable development and educational transformation models of college students in the new era, and provide corresponding suggestions. Through literature review and empirical research, this study found that traditional education models are no longer able to meet the sustainable development needs of college students and require transformation. This article discusses the concept of sustainable development, the current situation of sustainable development for college students, and the necessity of educational transformation. It also proposes educational transformation models for sustainable development of college students, including adjustments to curriculum settings, changes in teaching methods, and strengthening social practice. Finally, this article provides prospects for future related research, hoping to provide theoretical and practical guidance for the sustainable development and educational transformation of college students.
