TTe new curriculum standard emphasizes to cultivate students’ core competences. TTe design and thinking of large unit teaching is a feasible way to cultivate students’ core literacy. Arrangement of composition units in national textbooks is in line with the large unit teaching logic, but in practice, it still follows the one text by one text traditional mode of teaching. TTis paper tries to use Ubd mode to design the large units, and effectively improve students’ core literacy through the speciffc tasks around the core theme.
