Educational drama enjoys a long history of development in Europe and the United States, and has become a very significant teaching method for developing students’ overall qualities and abilities. Countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States have introduced more comprehensive and complete educational drama curricula and evaluation standards for primary and secondary schools at the national level. In China, educational drama is in its infancy, and although many institutions are actively exploring it and drama has entered the art curriculum standards, there are still problems such as the lack of professional teachers and the lack of perfect curriculum standards and evaluation methods. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to sort out the educational drama teaching models in Europe and America, especially to analyze and summarize the drama curriculum standards and evaluation in the National Core Arts Curriculum Standards introduced in the United States, so as to put forward some suggestions and thoughts for the development of educational drama in China.
