The traditional main way of ideological and political course evaluation is the summary evaluation based on quantitative evaluation. In the face of the practical demands of high-quality ideological and political courses, the construction of the evaluation system of ideological and political education activities and optimizing the teaching system of ideological and political education, is helpful to promote the quality and efficiency of ideological and political teaching. Based on the CIPP model of educational evaluation, this paper constructs the CIPP evaluation model of ideological and political courses and conducts empirical research. Through interviews with 11 frontline ideological and political course teachers in universities and a questionnaire survey of 380 college students, we found that both teachers and students had high expectations for the ideological and political courses that students love and teachers love, high expectations for the gain of teaching activities, and more multidimensional recognition of teaching evaluation. In this regard, we put forward the countermeasures to build a scientific, reasonable and effective ideological and political course evaluation index system, innovate the evaluation method of ideological and political course course and pay attention to the social influence of ideological and political course evaluation.
