人教版与译林版初一英语教材文化内容对比研究

A Comparative Study on Cultural Content of PEP’s and YLP’s Seventh Grade English Textbooks

  • Abstract: 语言是文化的一部分,语言与文化不可分割。英语教材中蕴含的文化内容能够促进学生的跨文化交际意识与能力。本文采用文本分析的方法,按照利桑佳(Risager)的文化分类对人教版与译林版初一英语教材中文化内容进行统计分析,从而发现了两版教材的异同:两版教材更喜欢选择学生所熟悉的材料、与学生认知水平相匹配的材料;译林版教材文章的主人公更多为非学生职业,两版初一英语教材文化内容在互动发生情景、 主人公主观性的表达上也存在着差异。
  • Language is an integral part of culture. Language and culture cannot be separated. The cultural content contained in English textbooks can promote students’ intercultural communication awareness and intercultural communication ability. This study adopts the method of text analysis and makes a statistical analysis on cultural content of PEP’s and YLP’s seventh grade English textbooks according to Risager’s cultural classification. The findings can be concluded as follows: these two versions of English textbooks prefer to choose materials that students are familiar with and materials that match students’ cognitive level; however, the most characters of texts in YLP are non-students. The cultural contents of the two versions of the seventh grade English textbooks are also different in the situation of interaction and subjectivity.
