As the key factor of high quality teaching, teacher enthusiasm mainly includes two forms:
experiential teacher enthusiasm and expressive teacher enthusiasm. The former focuses on Teachers’
positive emotional experience of teaching and the subjects they teach, while the latter focuses on a series
of teaching behaviors. Teachers’ enthusiasm has a positive impact on adolescents’ academic performance
by influencing students’ emotion, academic motivation and task value. Future research can focus on the
moderating factors between the two, and further improve the positive role of teachers’ enthusiasm in
promoting teenagers’ academic performance.
