This article analyzes the concept of the restriction policy on Tanbi at first, and reviews thedevelopment of Tanbi in China. This article uses the Jinjiang Tanbi as the data selection platform, anduses the method of DID to study the policy effects of the publication on the market for Tanbi works.Confirming that the restriction policy on Tanbi has a significant downward effect on the works ofTanbi. However, as a subculture with a large market and a large audience, the market for “Tanbi” worksis limited by the impact of the restriction policy on Tanbi and mainly focuses on the significant declinein the adaptation of copyrighted works. The restriction policy on Tanbi is a policy practice of China’smainstream culture’s theoretical criticism of the subculture. The effect of this practice is restrained andeffective, and it is a cultural policy with Chinese characteristics that can be dialectically used in futuregovernance.
