It is of vital importance to break down the barriers between platforms, resources and environment, and construct a simplified, integrated and interactive one-stop online platform for interpreting teaching as for the full integration of information technology into interpreting teaching. The platform of “Online Resources for Conference Interpreter Training” (ORCIT), funded by the European Commission since 2010, has grown to be an internationally reputed model for this purpose. As a case study, the building concepts of ORCIT are summarized from four aspects: integration of core interpreting skills, compression of key teaching points, optimal organization of contents and preparation of tailor-made exercises. The application of ORCIT is discussed from self-directed training, teaching design, materials development and learning evaluation. Moreover, the relevance of ORCIT upon informatization of interpreting teaching in China is analyzed from four perspectives: constructing a nationwide platform, integrating high-quality teaching resources, creating interactive learning environment and constructing mechanism for open application
