The progress of information technology promotes online Chinese teaching develop rapidly. Currently, six online teaching platforms, including Zoom, ClassIn, Voov meeting, DingTalk, Rain classroom and Tencent classroom, are the most popular in the field of international Chinese education. Based on surveys and classroom observations, we find that ClassIn is far better than DingTalk and Tencent Classroom in terms of interactive function. Rain class and Classin also have some personalized designs. In addition, we also find that teacher-student interaction is the most common in the classroom interaction, and teacher-initiated communication is the main one. Based on the above, we think more attention should not only be paid to the general needs of online teaching, but also to the personalized needs of learners when designing the teaching platform. As international Chinese teachers, we should construct an online teaching mode with multiple platforms that complement each other in order to make full use of the platform’s advantages, arouse the enthusiasm of students to participate in class activities and achieve the best teaching results.
