Based on the Chinese-English parallel corpus of rule of law discourse of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, this study uses the corpus method to explore how its English translation of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China shapes the image of China’s rule of law from the perspectives of high-frequency words, transitivity and modal verb. From the perspective of high-frequency content word analysis, the English translation of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has shaped the image of upholding the authority of the Constitution, safeguarding the rights and interests of the people, and ensuring fair justice; From the transitivity, it has created an image of the rule of law in China, which attaches importance to the construction of the rule of law, punishes offenders, is positive and reflective, has a sense of the overall situation, and serves the people wholeheartedly.; In terms of modal verb, the English translation uses medium and high Modal verb frequently, which shows China’s firm determination and will to strengthen the rule of law and build a socialist country ruled by law, and depicts the image of seeking truth from facts to promote the rule of law in China.
