The Governance of China by Xi Jinping includes important works such as speeches, interviews,
congratulatory letters, etc. of General Secretary Xi. A large amount of parallelism and antithesis are used in the
collection to show the rhetoric features of conciseness and simplicity, or of civility and solidity, with the rhythms
of majesty and beauty. In presenting these features, the Russian translation of Xi’s collection follows three
translation principles: correspondence, reconstruction and dilution. The analyses of the exemplars from this
collection show that, the Russian translation counterparts of Chinese parallelism and antithesis in the political
discourse help highlight original ideas with rhythm preserved and make the expressions thought-provoking and
persuasive so that effective communication is expected, using the full-translation method.
