Associate Professor Li Yang is currently the Director of MTI Center, Foreign Studies College of
Northeastern University. In 2019, Chinese foreign language education opens the construction of new liberal
arts, and the development of which promotes the opportunity to build foreign languages and literature with
interdisciplinary disciplines, aiming at problem-oriented, new technology application and innovative development
of interdisciplinary integration. In this context, Associate Professor Li Yang focuses on building an innovative
reform model centered on students’ interpretation ability enhancement in teaching materials, pedagogy and
curriculum, and giving full play to the advantages of interpretation in social activities, technology application and
scientific research. The author interviewed Associate Professor Li Yang about the interface issues in the process
of integration of interpretation teaching with teaching materials thinking and politics, artificial intelligence and
frontier achievements. The interview takes its inspiration to create a new form of online interpretation course in
China.
