Objective: To explore the rehabilitation effect of social work professional
group activities on vagrant mental retardation children. Methods: 45 cases of mental
retardation of vagrant children in hospital were studied by self-control method.
The group activity of social work was carried out for one year. Results: the scores of
WeeFIM in children with mental retardation were significantly better than those before
the activities (P < 0.001 or P < 0.01). Conclusion: the intervention of social workers
in the rehabilitation of children with wandering mental retardation can effectively
improve their behavioral skills and adaptive functions, and improve their quality of
life.
