• Abstract: 公共图书馆是现代文明程度的重要标志，是社会主义精神文明和物质文明建设的一个重要的知识文化窗口，是构筑知识文明大厦的一个重要支柱，肩负着传播文化，促进社会生产力和社会主义不断发展的重任。本文论述了公共图书馆在构建和谐社会中的作用及如何搞好图书馆和谐服务的对策。
• The public library is an important sign of modem civilization as well as an important knowledge and culture widow of materials civilization and spiritual civilization. It is also an important pillar to build a knowledge civilization mansion, to spread culture，to promote social productive forces and the further developing socialism.The article has discussed the effect in constructing harmonious society and how to do harmonious service in the library.
