Using literature review, field investigation, logical analysis and other methods, this paper examines the inheritance and development journey of sports intangible cultural heritage “Taijiquan” in the context of rural revitalization from a micro perspective, and explores the realization path of Taijiquan to empower the revitalization of rural education. The research shows that the practical worries faced by Taijiquan to empower rural education lie in the following aspects: The lack of educational resources in rural areas makes it difficult to practice Taijiquan; The loss of traditional cultural identity has led to the burial of the intrinsic value of Taijiquan; The poor integration of traditional boxing techniques and modern elements has led to a decline in charisma; The lack of support system has led to the limited development environment of Taijiquan talents. Based on the above problems, the corresponding paths are proposed: (1) Building a foundation: gathering multiple elements of related industries to consolidate the foundation for the development of rural Taiji; (2) Promote education reform: make up for the gap of educational resources and drive the reshaping and innovation of the Taijiquan curriculum system; (3) Shaping culture: build a cross-departmental coordination mechanism of “education association” to work together to reproduce Taijiquan culture; (4) Supply and security: build a regional policy highland and empower the whole chain of talent “introduction, education, use and retention”.
