Hakka folk sports, as a unique cultural phenomenon in the Heyuan region, carry rich historical origins and cultural connotations. The background of this study lies in exploring the impact of Hakka folk sports on the sense of community for the Chinese nation and its promotion paths, aiming to provide specific practical cases and theoretical support for the integration and coordinated development of multiple ethnic groups. The core issue of the study focuses on how to strengthen the unity and sense of community among all ethnic groups in the Heyuan region through Hakka folk sports activities, so as to achieve the goals of social harmony and cultural identity. This paper conducts a systematic study on the specific mechanisms and effects of Hakka folk sports in promoting ethnic unity from the aspects of cultural identity, social cohesion, inheritance and innovation, and puts forward specific paths for combining Hakka folk sports with the sense of community for the Chinese nation, including suggestions such as strengthening policy support, enhancing community participation and promotion, etc., hoping to provide empirical basis for the ethnic unity work in the Heyuan region and also offer references for the cultural and sports integration in other multi-ethnic regions.
