This study aims to understand the understanding and practice of crossdisciplinary integration teaching among elementary physical education teachers in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, and analyze the challenges faced by teachers in cross-disciplinary integration teaching, laying the foundation for future research in this area. Through teacher interviews and questionnaires, the study found that elementary physical education teachers in Pingshan District have a high level of understanding of cross-disciplinary integration teaching, but there are problems in practice, such as the single means of cross-disciplinary integration and the teachers’ weak knowledge of other subjects. In addition, teachers face challenges in applying cross-disciplinary knowledge and understanding cross-disciplinary teaching methods. The study recommends strengthening teacher training on crossdisciplinary integration teaching, providing more teaching cases and resources for reference, and encouraging teachers to actively explore effective methods for crossdisciplinary integration teaching.
