Ideological and political education in the curriculum is the key to promoting the implementation of the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people. In this study, the Delphi method and expert interview method were used to deeply explore the ideological and political elements contained in dragon boat courses according to the characteristics and values of dragon boat sports, and screen and condense the index system of ideological and political elements of dragon boat courses, so as to enrich the educational effect of teaching design of dragon boat courses in colleges and universities. The results showed that 4 first-level indicators and 16 second-level indicators of ideal and belief, cultural self-confidence, professional quality, and personal development were established to form the ideological and political element index system of dragon boat courses. In the teaching objectives, the educational effect of dragon boat courses is required from five aspects: knowledge, skills, physical health, emotions and social adaptation, and the ideological and political elements of dragon boats are fully implemented. Guided by teaching objectives, ideological and political content as the core to enrich the original teaching content; Curriculum ideological and political teaching methods using inquiry learning, situational learning and experiential learning to integrate the curriculum; From the perspective of teachers evaluating students, relying on course performance evaluation, the evaluation and feedback of the effect of ideological and political education are increased, and the curriculum evaluation system is improved; Based on this, under the guidance of social learning theory, a training path for the integration of ideological and political training and competition of dragon boat courses to create a learning environment, practice scenarios and competition atmosphere was constructed.
