Under the strategic background of the “Healthy China” initiative, this paper reviews research related to the cultivation path of the integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and elderly care approach. Through the collation and analysis of domestic and international literature, the paper explores the application of TCM in elderly care models and its integration path with medical resources. Addressing issues in traditional elderly care models such as the inadequate supply of elderly care services, the shortage of professional staff, and the separation of elderly care and medical services, this paper proposes the construction of an “endogenous” integrated TCM and elderly care model. This can serve as a reference for related research on integrated elderly care and its continuous improvement. The study points out that this model is significant in alleviating the pressure of population aging and improving the health level of the elderly. Future research should focus on detailed implementation paths, policy optimization, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote further development of the TCM integrated elderly care model.
