Objective: To explore the impact of positive psychological orientationgroup intervention on career adaptability of impoverished vocational collegestudents. Method: 32 impoverished students from a certain vocational collegewere recruited and randomly divided into a control group (n=16) and anexperimental group (n=16). The experimental group received group counselingfrom a positive psychological perspective for 6 weeks, once a week. Result:(1)There was no significant difference in the scores of psychological capitaland career adaptability between the experimental group and the control groupbefore intervention, but the experimental group scored significantly better thanthe control group after the intervention. (psychological capital t=4.186, p<0.001;career adaptability t=3.900, p<0.01); (2)The scores of psychological capitaland career adaptability of the experimental group before and after interventionshowed significant differences (psychological capital t=-3.353, p<0.01; career adaptability t=-3.941, p<0.01); (3)There was a significant difference inthe scores of the experimental group before and after 3 months of follow-up(psychological capital t=-3.219, p<0.01; career adaptability t=-4.113, p<0.01).Conclusion: Group counseling from a positive psychological perspective caneffectively improve the psychological capital and career adaptability level ofimpoverished college students.
