American female writer Susan Sontag is praised as“the most sapiential woman in the West” for her sharpness and thoughtfulness in public criticism.Her first critic collection Against Interpretation has established her position as “culture vane”in contemporary and even western society.As a writer who claims to avoid autobiographical writing, has her public criticism really avoid autobiographical writing?She seems to get promotions in the field of public criticism.In fact,when we have Gnostic interpretations of the mechanism of textual formation of Against Interpretation,we do find self torment behind public voices while her construction of self and her self camp in between Gnosticism and serious philosophy actually push her form unique self face under persona.Without realizing these points,we should query her authority and should come across dissepiment of reception and misunderstanding of critique.This article is to solve this problem in excavating and explicating the context and intension of how this critical works take place.
