Novel coronavirus infection is spreading at home and abroad in 2020. In
this special period, as a special vulnerable group of pregnant women, facing the dual
pressure of pregnancy and epidemic, obstetrics and psychological workers need to pay
attention together. This paper investigated the psychological status of 1,763 pregnant
women during the epidemic (mainly anxiety and depression), and found that the
incidence of anxiety among pregnant women during the epidemic period (51.1%) was
higher than that of pregnant women in the general period (23.3%), and the incidence
of anxiety among the general public during the epidemic period (18.0%). The incidence
of depression in pregnant women (36.9%) was higher than that in the general period
(14.2%), and it was also higher than that in the general population (10.3%). Therefore,
pregnant women are at increased risk of psychological problems during the epidemic,
and we need to pay more attention to them to help them get through the period of
psychological turmoil and give birth smoothly.
