Objective: To summarize the perioperative nursing technology and
experience by observing the perioperative nursing of elderly patients in general
surgery. Methods: from August 2013 to April 2017, 231 patients over the age of years
were admitted to the general surgery department of our hospital, all of whom were
operated. Results: 2 patients died during the operation, 6 patients died of organ failure,
and the other 223 patients were discharged smoothly under active postoperative care.
After operation, 12 patients had wound infection, 8 patients had heart, brain, lung
and kidney complications, all of which were cured by active treatment. Conclusion:
according to the particularity of elderly patients in general surgery, strengthening
perioperative nursing can promote the rehabilitation of patients.
