School sports activities are the main way for primary and secondary school students to strengthen their physical fitness. Since the promulgation of the “double reduction” policy, students have greatly reduced their academic pressure and have more time to participate in sports activities. As a crucial part of the “five education”, school sports is an indispensable part of the students’ growth process. Through interviews and documents, this paper analyzes the practical difficulties in the development of primary and secondary school sports at this stage, and studies the effective path of the development of primary and secondary school sports. The results show that there are insufficient resources in the development of physical education in primary and secondary schools; Family social sports awareness is relatively weak, and the linkage with school sports is insufficient; And the imbalance of school sports development, uneven resources and so on. Therefore, we need to coordinate the supply and distribution of school sports basic resources, build a diversified governance system, and promote the long-term and stable development of primary and secondary school sports.
