The transformation of stadium to sports service complex is one of the feasible ways to solve the problem of stadium operation. In this paper, literature method and logical analysis are used to study the transformation and development of stadiums and gymnasiums into sports service complexes, sort out the driving factors and problems facing the transformation, and summarize the optimization strategies of transformation and development. The research shows that the driving factors of the transformation are mainly the insufficiency of hematopoietic function of stadiums, the support of national sports policy, the stimulation of sports consumption upgrading, and the guidance of industrial integration development. The problems facing the transformation include vague positioning of the coverage scope of the sports service complex, inefficient venue management mechanism, weakening of venue service functions and weak ecological integration of surrounding areas. It puts forward some optimization strategies, such as strengthening preliminary spatial planning, improving the level of operation and management, and promoting the integration of surrounding business forms.
