Objective: To explore the surgical emergency treatment of colorectal cancer
rupture. Methods: 16 cases of emergency rupture of colorectal cancer were analyzed.
Results: 13 cases were cured and 3 (23%) died. The causes of death were severe water
electrolyte imbalance and multiple organ failure caused by severe abdominal or
pulmonary infection. Conclusion: acute perforation and rupture of large intestine
cancer is of high mortality. It is recommended to adopt one-stage resection and
fistulation, two-stage anastomosis or enterostomy in case of emergency operation;
the postoperative complications are many, so the postoperative clinical management
should be strengthened.
