Objective: To investigate the prophylactic application of antibiotics in
ophthalmic clean surgery in a hospital. Methods: retrospective method was used to
analyze the prophylactic use of antibiotics in the medical records of 100 patients with
ophthalmic clean surgery from January to December 2018. Results: the prophylactic
application rate of antibiotics was 100% in 100 patients, including 24 cases of oral
administration and 76 cases of intravenous administration. 76 cases were applied 0.5-2
hours before operation. The postoperative application time was 24-48 hours in 34 cases
and 48-72 hours in 42 cases. Conclusion: the prophylactic application of antibiotics in
ophthalmic clean surgery is reasonable.
