Objective: to explore the clinical features of brain stem infarction and
summarize the experience of diagnosis and treatment. Methods: clinical diagnosis
and treatment of 45 cases of brain stem infarction and literature review. Results there
were different clinical manifestations of brain stem infarction due to different etiology,
number and location of occlusion vessels. There were 26 cases (57.8%) with typical
brain stem lesion, and some patients had no typical clinical manifestations of brain
stem lesion (42.2%). Conclusion: the diagnosis and treatment of patients with brain
stem infarction requires the clinician to have certain neuroanatomical knowledge, the
treatment must be specific case specific analysis, accurate positioning and qualitative
neurological department, comprehensive treatment, and the best combination of MRI
examination, to strengthen the psychological counseling of patients in the treatment
process.
