To explore the etiology, diagnosis and prognosis of Henoch Schonlein
purpura in children. Methods: 103 cases of Henoch Schonlein purpura from 2001
to 2009 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: among the 103 cases, 74.8% had
skin purpura with gastrointestinal symptoms, 57.3% had joint symptoms and 4.9%
had kidney symptoms. 30.1% had a history of infection before the disease, 15.53%
had allergic food, 17.48% had a history of parasite, 11.65% had contact with pollen,
new furniture and insect bite allergy, only 1 / 3 of the cases had unknown causes.
Conclusion: the diagnosis of this disease is not difficult according to the history.
When the symptoms of digestive tract or joint appear before skin Pura, it is easy to
misdiagnose. The etiology is related to infection, food allergy and other factors. The
prognosis is good and easy to recur.
