Taking abundant meiren paintings (paintings of beautiful women) as research samples, this essay classifies and summarizes them from the view
of aesthetic objects, and discusses the aesthetic value of meiren paintings in Ming and Qing Dynasties and ukiyoe. From the perspective of aesthetics, both
meiren paintings in Ming and Qing Dynasties and ukiyoe have three aesthetic levels: the beauty of external appearance, the beauty of daily life and the beauty of interest and spirit. These three aesthetic levels are included one by one in logical. We can appreciate and evaluate the artistic level of meiren paintings in Ming and Qing Dynasties and ukiyoe through these three aesthetic levels.
