Research on the Representation of the Youth Culture in Network Tree Hole from the Perspective of Feeling Structure —Taking “Xiamen Wish Tone” as an Example
In recent years, many netizens use some platforms and accounts characterized as “tree hole” to mourn the deceased, share personal struggles and offer mutual solace, which turns “tree hole” into an open window to see the youth culture. This research regards “Xiamen Wish Tone” as the subject, employing grounded theory research methodology to analyze the textual content of messages posted in February 2024. Drawing from the perspective of Feeling Structure theory, the study investigates the representations and causes of the youth culture documented and preserved by “Xiamen Wish Tone”. The findings reveal that the majority of the messages relate to mediated tourism, emotional memories and web language. The research concludes that the feeling structures within “Xiamen Wish Tone” mirror the cultural expressions and societal concerns of the youth. Against the backdrop of an increasingly mediatized and rapidly changing society, it is imperative to focus on the manifestations of youth culture to understand the evolving trends of social culture and address the entrenched issues within our social fabric.
