• 摘要： 大陆《大公报》退场过程发生于“文革”爆发初期，在内外改名压力之下，《大公报》虽经再三努力，不得不蜕变为《前进报》以求适应环境而自保，又被批为“金蝉脱壳”，再经105天挣扎，最终从中国大陆消失。究其退场缘由，从宏观历史结构层面看，是“左”倾思潮恶性发展与政策环境渐趋紧张导致其无奈退场的大趋势；从微观行动分析层面看，是有关行动者在历史结构制约下进行理性或非理性选择，不断进行互动博弈的结果。尽管《大公报》早已从大陆现实世界中消失，但它作为一种精神象征和一个不断膨胀的符号系统，透过各种各样的仪式和话语，持续回响在新闻社群的精神天空，影响着一代又一代中国新闻人的传播实践。
• The extinction of Ta Kung Pao in mainland took place at the beginning of the outbreak of the “Cultural Revolution”. Under the pressure of changing its name both inside and outside, Ta Kung Pao had to be renamed Forward Daily for survival and was criticized as “to escape by cunning maneuvering”. After 105 days of struggle, Ta Kung Pao eventually died out from the Chinese mainland. As for the reason of extinction, from the perspective of macro historical structure, it is the malignant development of Left Ideological Trend and the policy environment that lead to its fading out. From the perspective of micro action analysis, it is the result of rational or irrational choices and continuous interaction made by relevant actors under the restriction of historical structure. Although it has long disappeared from the mainland China, as a spiritual symbol and an expanding symbol system, Ta Kung Pao continues to soar up into the spiritual sky over the journalist community through a variety of ceremonies and discourses, influencing the communication practice of generations of Chinese journalists.
